In the realm of furniture design, innovation often lies in the delicate balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal. My portfolio showcases a journey through two distinct yet interconnected projects: the evolution from revolutionary trestle tables to ergonomically designed chairs catering specifically to individuals with hyperactive disorders.
Trestle Tables: The journey begins with the reinvention of the conventional trestle table. Recognizing the need for furniture that seamlessly adapts to the diverse lifestyles and spaces of modern living, I embarked on a mission to revolutionize the concept of table utility. The result is a series of trestles crafted with practicality in mind, offering unparalleled flexibility. These trestles effortlessly adjust to various heights, transforming any space into a cozy floor-level seating area, a communal dining spot, or even a standing workstation. Furthermore, our innovative design ensures hassle-free transportation and compact storage, making them the ideal solution for dynamic environments.
Pair of Chairs: Building upon the success of the trestle tables, the journey progressed towards addressing a specific need within the community: individuals with hyperactive disorders such as ADHD. Drawing from personal experience and insights, I conceptualized and designed a pair of chairs tailored to cater to the unique requirements of this demographic. These chairs go beyond mere seating arrangements; they serve as therapeutic tools, allowing for micro movements that aid in concentration and comfort. The design facilitates subtle bouncing or rocking motions, providing an outlet for restless energy without disrupting focus or causing discomfort. By incorporating ergonomic principles and intuitive features, such as sturdy yet flexible bases and supportive backrests, these chairs promote a sense of calm and productivity for users with hyperactive disorders.
