The University of Minnesota's Graphic Design class of 2024, consisting of 60 students, showcased their individual thesis projects at the Last Call exhibit in Rapson Hall. The graduating class was entirely responsible for organizing the exhibit, including its brand identity, social media presence, fundraising, and website development. As part of the team, Nick played a pivotal role in developing and coding the class website, aligning it with the Last Call brand identity.

As the committee leader for the Last Call exhibit, my role encompassed a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the successful execution of the event. Leading a team of talented individuals, I was tasked with assigning roles and delegating tasks, organizing and facilitating regular meetings, and spearheading the development of the event's website using Webflow.

Task Assignment and Delegation
One of my primary responsibilities was to assign tasks based on each team member's strengths and expertise. This involved assessing the skills and interests of my peers and matching them with suitable tasks. By effectively delegating responsibilities, I ensured that each aspect of the exhibit—from branding and social media to fundraising and logistics—was managed efficiently.

Organizing Meetings
To keep the project on track, I organized and led weekly meetings. These meetings were essential for maintaining clear communication, discussing progress, addressing challenges, and brainstorming creative solutions. I created detailed agendas to ensure that each meeting was productive and that all critical aspects of the project were covered. My leadership in these meetings helped foster a collaborative environment and ensured that the team stayed aligned with our goals and deadlines.

Website Development in Webflow
A key component of the Last Call exhibit was the development of its website. I took on the responsibility of designing and coding the website using Webflow, a powerful web design tool. The website needed to reflect the exhibit's brand identity while providing an intuitive and engaging user experience. My tasks included creating wireframes, designing the site layout, implementing interactive elements, and ensuring the site was responsive across various devices. The result was a visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly website that served as a central hub for information about the exhibit, including project showcases, event details, and contact information. My work on the website not only showcased the diverse talents of the graduating class but also played a crucial role in promoting the event to a wider audience.
